Hello My Dears,

WINTER MAGIC

04 December 2020

The winter weather outside the window, which came to us for a moment, made me miss winter weddings. The white and silver decorations in the room and the sparkling, frosty scenery outside the windows can delight everyone. However, winter weddings are associated with obstacles typical of this season. What should you remember when organizing a winter wedding? Here are some tips from me;)

Winter can be wayward

Snowy, frosty, polish winter is a magical time of the year that brings back the greatest memories of our childhood. However, for several years now, instead of snow drifts, you can more often find muddy puddles. Unfortunately, when planning, we should keep our fingers crossed for beautiful weather, but also take into account less favorable aura. Remember that even beautifully blowing snow can be troublesome.

Girls, ask your sister or friend to help you strategically lift the dress so that it does not get wet from the bottom. A dress that got dirty during the transition from church to hall will take a bit of magic from the first dance.

Also, prepare a quick emergency kit in case of a small amount of dirt, even a simple cloth with water can work wonders in this case.

Unfortunately, mud and snow on shoes like to wander inside the hall. When choosing a place, make sure that there is a suitable cloakroom in place, with a place where you can change or clean your shoes. If there are smokers among your guests, talk to the room manager so that the staff pay special attention to whether the floor at the exit from the room is clean. Mud on dancefloor can cause a dangerous accident.

Add a few minutes for commuting when planning the wedding agenda, icy roads can slow you down significantly. Designate a person responsible for informing the ballroom manager if there are any delays in the schedule.

It's cold in winter

I can't believe I'm saying this, but many Couples forget how cold it is outside in winter. A wedding is not a day to catch a cold ๏Š If there is such a possibility in the church of your choice, ask that the interior be heated beforehand. However, do not forget about warm clothes. The right cape will not take your grace away and will prevent you from sniffling.

A great solution can also be small pocket warmers, which, when pressed for a few minutes, will keep you warm. They are easy to hide in your hand and thanks to them you will not have blue fingers when changing rings.

Plan your overnight stay in the same facility where the party will be held. Thanks to this, you will be able to quickly get rid of unnecessary layers before entering the room. Plus, you'll have a few minutes to warm up ๏Š

If you have to go out and catch your breath, please wear your coat. I know that you are hot with emotions and dancing, but trust me, ladies in dresses and gentlemen in shirts who have so much fun outside on the wedding day, next day have such a hoarse voice that they are unable to speak.

Additionally, think about your guests, maybe instead of champagne you will serve them with mulled wine? An interesting idea will also be to replace the candy bar with a hot chocolate station.

When setting the menu, choose filling and warming dishes that will suit the season of the year.

Good lighting is essential

Adequate lighting of the room has a huge impact on its appearance on the wedding day and is always a very important element of decoration. However, in winter, when the days are much shorter, it is essential.

Don't settle for ordinary lighting offered by the facility. A professional company will help you create a truly magical scenery. You should also think about the external lighting of the hall so that your guests feel extraordinary from the very moment they enter.

If you decide on a typical winter room decor, you can ask if the lighting company offers, for example, light snowflakes displayed on the ceiling or the dance floor.

Above all, however, as always, remember to have fun. Winter weddings are extremely magical, the proximity of holidays and hopes for the new year beginning create an atmosphere that cannot be imitated. Enjoy it fully.

Best regards,

Dominika
